The CEB (Green Energy) Co. Ltd (CGE) is a private company fully owned by the Central Electricity Board. The Company was incorporated on 11th October 2016. The CGE's business is to promote the development of Renewable Energy particularly Solar Energy for generation of electricity.We are currently involved in the promotion and development of renewable energy with the construction and operation of Solar Photovoltaic Farms and deployment of Solar Photovoltaic Kits grid-tie, roof-mounted for CEB customers in the social category and for Small and Medium Enterprises in Tariff 215 category

CEB HOME SOLAR PROJECT

SÉLECTION DES BÉNÉFICIAIRES POUR L'INSTALLATION DE
Comme annoncé dans le discours du budget 2016/2017, le CEB, par l'intermédiaire de sa filiale CEB (Green Energy) Company Limited, vient de l'avant avec un projet consistant à installer 10 000 kits photovoltaïques sur le toit des maisons appartenant aux clients relevant de la catégorie Tarif Social 110A . Ces kits photovoltaïques seront raccordés au réseau électrique et permettront aux plus nécessiteux de bénéficier de 50 kWh d'électricité gratuite mensuellement pendant 20 ans.
Le projet sera mis en oeuvre en plusieurs phases, échelonnées sur une période de cinq ans. La première phase, qui concerne le déploiement d'un premier lot de 2 000 kits photovoltaïques de 1 KW chacun pour un total de 2 MW, est actuellement en cours.
En vue d'assurer une meilleure répartition géographique, les 10 000 kits photovoltaïques seront installés dans toutes les régions de Maurice ainsi qu'à Rodrigues. Par ailleurs, et conformément à l'objectif fixé, la priorité sera accordée aux clients inscrits dans le registre social de Maurice dans chaque région.
Afin d'identifier les bénéficiaires potentiels du projet, un tirage au sort sera effectué pour déterminer le rang de chaque client dans le groupe ciblé (Tarif Social 110A). Cet exercice est prévu pour le vendredi 29 septembre 2017 à 09h30 au siège du Centre de Formation et de Perfectionnement Professionnels (CFPP) du CEB à Terre Rouge. La supervision sera assurée par un huissier de la Cour. Les personnes souhaitant assister au tirage sont priées de confirmer leur présence en appelant le numéro 404 2037 ou en envoyant un courrier électronique à l'adresse homesolarproject@ceb.intnet.mu avant le vendredi 22 septembre 2017.

Tout client éligible pour ce projet et désirant obtenir des informations additionnelles sur son rang peut le faire en toute confidentialité en entrant son numéro de compte (Electricity Contract Account Number) sur le lien ci-dessus ou en appelant le numéro 404 2037. Par la suite, les bénéficiaires sélectionnés devront satisfaire un ensemble de critères de qualification administrative et technique avant que le kit photovoltaïque ne soit installé sur leurs maisons respectives. Dans le cas contraire, ils seront remplacés par d'autres clients éligibles en fonction du rang que ces derniers ont obtenu au cours de l'exercice du tirage au sort.
As part of a pilot project, the CEB plans to integrate around 4 MW of new Small-Scale Distributed Generation (SSDG) using solar photovoltaic technology in the national grid. 142 kW will be integrated in Rodrigues.
The new SSDG scheme, named CEB Green Energy Scheme for SMEs in the Tariff 215 Category will operate under the principle of net-billing discount. Under this Scheme, around 2000 roof-mounted grid-tie solar PV kits of 2 kWp capacity each will be integrated into the grid.
The project will enable around 2000 small commercial enterprises to participate in and benefit from this project without bearing the project's financial and operational risks. The total investment cost will be made by the CEB subsidiary company, CEB (Green Energy) Company Limited.
By participating in the project, each qualified small commercial enterprise will receive a reduction in its monthly electricity bill, which will net off partly or fully, as applicable, the electricity payments over a period of 20 years.
Application will be treated on a first-come first-served basis after submitting the duly filled application form.
